Can anyone advise on what to do about a problematic set of wheels I am trying to deal with. Basically I have a set of Giant P-SL1 wheels which are allegedly developed in conjunction with DT Swiss. I had a spoke snap a few months ago which was repaired under warranty. I've just had another one go and it looks increasingly like this is a problem with the build quality.

DT Swiss Tricon R 1700 'Giant Branded' wheel woes. For anybody considering this older wheelset I'd recommend you reconsider. I ordered this wheelset new from a reputable ebay seller that must've purchased mega surplus from Giant that came standard on the 2011 TCR Advanced Sl 3. Once I received the wheels I took them to my local Giant/Trek. As anyone ran into problems with the Giant S-XC29 2 rims not converting tubeless due to the joint where the rim comes together leaking? I'm having my LBS setup my bike with tubeless tires and one of the rims continues to leak from what appears to be the 'pinned' joint that connects the rims together. Giant Germany website claims a medium trance 1 weighs 12.4 kg. Very nice wider carbon wheels with DT Swiss internals. The bad to it is that right now there is a limited number of shocks that will work. Not been a fan of the various version of the Fox Floats or the RS. Join Date: Feb 2010; Posts: 2,814.
